Video: Fast and Furious Retrieve
The fast and furious retrieve is a very exciting way to elicit aggressive strikes from fast moving game fish. This rapid retrieve will trigger an automatic feeding response in fish that may not respond to other techniques. This technique is ideal for very large soft and brightly colored soft baits.
Tips
- Remember: resist the temptation to stop the bait if you get a follow!
- The more surface commotion, the better! Use your rod tip make your soft bait splash, dance and dart.
- A fish will almost always hit again if it misses the first time – one of the great advantages of the natural feel of a soft bait.
