West Falmouth Harbor #473
Town parking lot, free, (limited spaces) adjacent to the bike path off Nashawena Street. Offload at the ramp next to the town dock, then park in the town lot. Do NOT park on the ramp. In spite of fairly heavy boat traffic in the summer, good fishing for striped bass and sometimes bluefish can be found throughout the harbor from spring into late fall. Good, protected paddling in all but the strongest winds. Paddling out of the harbor entrance to fish the rocky shores on either side (Chapaquoit Island or Little Island) can be very productive. Beware of standing waves at the harbor entrance when a hard outgoing tide is in conflict with the prevailing southwest wind of summer.
