Keeper stripers are officially being caught in Woods Hole. Matt Rissell and Ian Crowley trolled white 12″ SI Perfect Tubes on Friday evening and hooked up with a nice 36″ fish in the channel just after sunset. After trolling tubes of different sizes throughout the afternoon and evening, the smaller tubes seemed to do the trick.
The nice thing about tube and worm trolling in Woods Hole is that it is a tide-agnostic technique, giving anglers a good option when fishing the rock piles slows down at slack.
Plenty of 20″ class schoolie stripers can also be found in Woods Hole and the Elizabeths. Throw topwater softbaits at the various rock piles throughout the Islands at dusk or dawn and you will find them without a problem.
