West Falmouth Striper Report – May 7, 2016

Rhett Wheeler and Maddy LaCroix headed out to West Falmouth Harbor Saturday morning for their first saltwater trip of the year, catching a dozen stripers to 26″. According to Rhett, the beginning of the outgoing tide produced the best action. 7″ Hogy Original Softbaits on weighted swimbait hooks were their lure of choice.

The push of large schoolies into Buzzards Bay picked up pace this weekend, with reports of stripers slashing on large bait balls in Woods Hole, West Falmouth and the mouth of the Canal. With keepers caught on the Vineyard on Saturday morning, bigger fish should make it Cape-side this week.
