After two days of strong north winds and before my nephews headed back to Kansas City, we decided to get back out to Horseshoe Shoal for one more chance to bend the rod. After all, it has been a very reliable spot this year. We had lines in right at sunrise and it wasn’t long before we hooked up on the SI Perfect Squid. One bruiser was double digit size and once again the ‘shoe produced some good action. The past few days we have also managed some cocktail blues on the fly just off Sampsons Island between Cotuit and Osterville. The smaller fish are busting on top under birds.
