Salty Cape reader Max Audette covered a lot of ground on Saturday morning, finding stripers in Woods Hole and bonito off Tarpaulin.
“Went out at 5am this morning and headed to quicks, Menemsha, Lobsterville and Middle Ground. Saw tons of bait and birds in every spot but no fish. Then headed to Nobska and caught some blue fish which seemed to be everywhere. We then headed to Woods hole around 8am and found tons of stripers to 28 inches on topwater at all the ledges and rips. After a few hours we started making our way back to Padanaram working the Vineyard Sound side of the Elizabeths. We found a school of albies working in Tarpaulin Cove at around noon. They were up and down and it took us forever to hook up, when we did it was a bonito!”
