Outer Cape Fishing Report – October 30, 2015

Although there was talk last week about bass around the Nauset area, Elise Costa, who lives in Orleans, looked at them askance. The vast majority of bass that hang out in Pleasant Bay have made their way out into open water through the two openings in Nauset, up around North Beach Island and Chatham Light, so the odds that there is any significant bite there right now are mighty slim. There are spots in the bay that typically have fish that hang around all year long, but their numbers aren’t great and they typically are found in deeper holes and dropoff edges near the islands and marshes.
