Outer Cape Fishing Report – October 27, 2017

There haven’t been any big bass reported from the backside beaches, but there are still some good-sized schools of smaller fish working off the sands from Truro to Eastham. The problem is that almost no one has been fishing for them; those who are have been doing well in the morning on surface plugs, with some bluefish caught down Eastham way as well. Metals are an excellent choice when fishing these beaches as well, providing a great combination of distance, flash, and profile; sand eels are typically pinpointed as the prevailing bait along the sandy shores of the outer Cape, but this fall, there have been schools of peanut bunker reported as well.
