Offshore Fishing Report – June 26, 2015

Last weekend’s Hyannis TunaFest became a matter of numbers rather than size; no large tuna were weighed in, but the winning boats took advantage of the football and small school sized fish.

South of MV

There are still good numbers of tuna in the 30 to 50-pound class south of The Claw and around The Dump. These fish are feeding on sand eels, making your choice of squid colors an important decision.

Chatham and the Bay

Still very quiet; a few larger fish have been caught downtown; the closer in spots are filled with whales, birds, and bait, but Charlie has been elusive and late in showing.
