Offshore Fishing Report – August 25, 2017

There haven’t been many reports from the offshore crew. Steve Morris out on the Vineyard visited Atlantis on Monday and they had a slow trip, with one yellowfin and some small mahi, as well as a blue marlin that got away.

Jim Young heard that the waters around the Dump and shipping lanes were improving, but he had no details when I called him other than some good water had pushed into the area.

Steve Morris said his last trip to an area due south of the Vineyard was to the Suffolk wreck, which is south of Cox’s Ledge, and they managed a couple of bluefin before the bite died within 20 minutes.

Hopefully, with this good weather window, a few more boats will get out and we will have some reports for you later on today.
