Matt Manera at the Nantucket Tackle Center told me that owner Capt. Matt Reinemo was out fishing; apparently albies have moved into the harbor, which provides some protection from the wind. With seas running three to four feet around the Bonito Bar and the flats filled with coffee colored water, there isn’t much to tell about that portion of the island. On the other hand, there have been some albies caught at Great Point, while bluefish and bass are being caught along the south shore in spots where there isn’t too much of a swell. Black Hogy’s are an island favorite when it comes to night fishing, Matt explained, along with Bombers and Daiwa SP Minnows.
