Nantucket Fishing Report – September 28, 2018

Great Point has been the hotspot for albies on the island, reported Dave Stetson at Bill Fisher Tackle; he caught nine there earlier this week while fishing from shore using metal lures and Epoxy Jigs. There are some larger bass being caught along the southside beaches on eels and larger soft plastics, while up inside the harbor most of the fish are on the small side, making them good targets for soft plastics and topwater plugs. A few smaller bluefish continue to be caught around Smith’s Point, while the Bonito Bar has lived up to its name, despite being very rough far too often this week.
