Nantucket Fishing Report – May 26, 2016

The word from Dave Stetson is that a few larger bass are being caught inside the harbor and along the north shore of the island; early morning and evening have produced the best action. As Dave explained, you can catch bass during the daytime if there is an outgoing tide that is flushing bait into open water, but these will generally be schoolies. Dave specifically mentioned that Hogy’s in the bone color have been working well. Bottom fishing for sea bass and scup is really good, with the fluke season just getting started.
