Nantucket Fishing Report – May 19, 2016

Corey Gammill from Bill Fisher Tackle reported that the vast majority of the bass that are being caught are on the small side, with an occasional legal fish in the mix. The southside was red hot, particularly around the airport and Miacomet Rip, with 30 fish trips not unusual, but right now these areas have quieted and it appears the fish are moving to the western shores of the island. There have been no bluefish reported, but there are scup, mackerel, and sea bass outside the jetties.
