Nantucket Fishing Report – June 8, 2018

As is typical for the striper schedule on the island, the southside beaches are starting to see more bass; bone or pearl soft plastics and pearl Bombers or Daiwa SP Minnows are top choices from the sand beaches at this time of the year.

Up inside Madaket and Nantucket Harbor, topwater plugs such as Smack-its poppers and spook styles such as Rebel Jumpin’ Minnows and Heddon Zara Spooks are effective when concentrating on shoreline structure.

No real bluefish action to report in the rips, but a few have been caught on the northside.
