Capt. Warren Marshall told me that as of earlier this week, the albie bite on the east side of the island was still good. Blindcasting remains most effective for both fly and spin anglers, but there have been times when flurries of breaking fish have appeared at the point. Some boats continue to drift through the rips, casting as they go, but some of the best concentrations of little tunny have been close to shore between the point and the lighthouse.
Bearses was still holding some bass up to the low 30-inch class and a few bluefish as well, while from Handkerchief and Shovelful out to the east a bit, there have been more bluefish in the rips than bass.
