Monomoy Fishing Report – September 15, 2016

The most interesting news concerned some really good false albacore fishing in the deeper water between the rips and along South Monomoy; the funnies weren’t showing, but blindcasting with fast sink lines and sand eel patterns has worked well for flyrodders. No doubt Epoxy Jigs would work for spin anglers, but Heavy Sand Eels might even be a better choice.

Bass fishing has been hit-or-miss in the rips, but fluke angling remains steady, especially in the rips between Monomoy Point and Nantucket.
