Monomoy Fishing Report – August 13, 2015

Many reports have the rips holding mainly bluefish on both tides, but Capt. Willy Hatch told me that on his way back from a tuna trip out east, he found birds working hard over bait at Bearses and Handkerchief. There were no boats fishing there and given that schools of bass have been moving in and out off of Nauset Inlet, there is a chance that bass have been moving into the rips and nobody has been there to find them. Most reports only talk about bluefish, but then again, folks down that end of the Cape are pretty tightlipped and perhaps are keeping a good thing to themselves.
