Martha’s Vineyard Fishing Report – October 27, 2016

Steve Morris said that the wind this week, as well as the cold, has convinced many folks that it’s time to pull the plug on the season on the island. That said, he heard from a friend who earlier this week picked up a half dozen bass and a bluefish up island on plugs; there wasn’t anything big in the mix, but they were active. Steve fished off the boat around Oak Bluffs on Monday and caught a couple of bass, one of which was 28-inches. The last albie he heard of was on Monday down around Edgartown, while a buddy of his went togging and managed a few small fish. Steve believes there still fish around and a couple of days of sunshine and warmth just might make for a few more productive trips before things really close up for good.
