The constantly changing winds and weather continue to put a damper on the shore fishing around the Vineyard; there have been a few bass taken around Squibnocket on plugs and some bluefish around Chappy.
The boats are doing a bit better, with a mix of blues and small bass at Wasque; Middle Ground has also had a mix, but it’s not consistent from day-to-day. Vertical jigging and dragging wire has been the saving grace from Menemsha to Gay Head, with no really big fish to speak of.

There has been a good mix of fluke and sea bass off Cedar Tree Neck, but you have to use enough weight to get the proper feel for the bottom in the current there.
