Martha’s Vineyard Fishing Report – August 27, 2015

Steve Morris reported that there is some increased bonito action around the island; a fish was taken from the beach around Menemsha, where boaters got into them and some were also caught around Cape Poge. Bluefishing is tough, with a few around Chappy, and the same is true with bass; it’s been mostly smaller fish up island for folks working needlefish, darters, and eels.

Middle Ground has been producing a mix of fluke and bluefish, while Lambert’s Cove has been holding some smaller bass.

Steve said a friend caught an albie south of the Vineyard the other day and everyone is pretty much waiting for them to show in full force.
