Elizabeth Islands Fishing Report – October 24, 2015

There has been a good tautog bite in Woods Hole and down the Buzzards Bay side of the islands. Although it is a longer trip than many folks want to make this time of year, the waters around Nashawena and Cuttyhunk are often particularly productive when it comes to tog.

Although it was last Sunday, Phil Stanton reported that he caught a couple of nice bass between 28 and 36-inches in the Hole on live eels, with the wind and cold keeping him from going down the islands. The warmer weather that was around midweek is supposed to give way to more seasonable temperatures and winds out of the north/northeast/east on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday looking very interesting with overcast conditions and a wind shift to the southwest.
