Buzzards Bay Fishing Report – July 30, 2015

Mike Thomas didn’t have much to report on the plus side right now on bigger bass. A few are being caught on livelined baits, but there are mainly schools of smaller bass working between Cleveland Ledge and the Mashnee flats. Even the bluefish bite, which is a staple of summer activity in the bay, has been pretty quiet.

The quality of the fluke fishing is all a matter of whom you talk to; there are some nicer fish around the dropoffs surrounding the flats, but overall the best fishing has been on the edges of the Canal and over structure between Bird Island and Cleveland Ledge.
